BIOGRAPHY

 

     Born in Havana, Cuba, had my first contact with music with my mother when he was four, although my formal studies began at the conservatory Manuel Saumell at seven years of age.
In Cuba I participated as an arranger in the bands of Gerardo Alfonso and Jose luis Barba
I moved to Ecuador, working for recording studios in advertising and incidental music  Later, as a freelance producer and pianist, he participated in several albums
His first album "Espíritus de las montañas y las playas" (Spirits of the mountains and the beaches) was a creation in duo with guitarist Claudio Durán, is composed of seven original songs inspired by the ecuadorian geography, "Cotopaxi", "Ilinizas", "Los Frailes" and "Tonsupa" are some of the titles that comprise it, improvisation and spirituality of this project was praised by the press and the Ecuadorian public.
With the percussionist Vladimir Espinosa,  two albums "Acoustic latin Jazz" and "El Coco" fusion of jazz with Afro-Cuban rhythms, an integration of musical currents that have influenced the styles of the two artists where each one exposes their point of view. 

 

I moved to the US (2008) integrating bands such as Ms Lauryn Hill, Franco de Vita, Concha Buika, Albita Rodriguez, Alex Ubago, Prince Royce, Diego Torres  
 

I've been nominated for a grammy but I haven't won any. I cry every day, but nobody cares.
